Vintage West German Beer Stein w/ Pewter Lid Exc Cond 11" Heidelburg Alte Bruike.
Engraved Western German on bottom as well as a makers mark of what looks like J crossing a G. Cant locate my good Stein reference book so unclear who maker is. No crackling on bottom common to these old steins. No major flaws at all for that matter. Doubt its ever been used.
Has 3 main scenes. Heidelberg, Alte Bruike, and the giant beer barrel Das Gt. Fassu Perkeo. Song lyrics scroll across the bottom a patriotic theme "Am Neckar u. Am Rheine Keine An'dre Komt Dirgleich. Altheidelberg Du Feine, Du Stadt An Ehren Reich." Has a beautifully engraved ornate hinged pewter lid. Aprox 11" tall. Half liter i believe. All it needs is filling w Heffeveisen!
