Smiling Chinaman brooch signed HAR.
This rare & highly collectible brooch has an exquisite design in textured gold tone metal with faux green and Jade cabochons and stones. The smiling face is made of faux ivory resin. There are small aurora borealis rhinestones scattered around the brooch.
The brooch measures ca. 53 x 38 x 21 mm / 2 x 1.5 x 0.83 inch
In very good condition with no damage or missing stones.
The "HAR" mark was owned by Hargo Creations in New York. The company was founded in 1955 and mysteriously disappeared in the mid to late 1960's. During their short tenure in business, they created the most amazing, unique, and high quality jewelry of the era. The Asian pieces of HAR jewelry are among the most sought after by collectors and are among the most valuable.
