vintage 1953 Zenith Wave Master Radio

A classic early-1950s Zenith with that unmistakable mid-century look—rounded cabinet lines, bold dial, and warm presence. Zenith marketed the Wavemaster line as a dependable everyday broadcast radio, known for solid AM reception and a fuller cabinet tone than most compact models of the era.

The cabinet shows age, as expected for a 70-year-old piece, but the styling still has that relaxed, lived-in charm. The dial face, knobs, and grille layout are all original.

Note: This set has not been tested. It has not been plugged in or powered on. Selling it as-found for display, restoration, or collector use. These Zenith chassis respond well to proper restoration, but that’s a job for someone who knows vintage electronics.

Displayed on a shelf, desk, or sideboard, it does exactly what a mid-century radio should do—add character to a room without trying too hard. The form is timeless.
