HIAWATHA NECKTIES DISPLAY ANTIQUE 1920s HAND PAINTED AMERICAN CHIEF ON LEATHER.

Antique Hand-painted Advertisment. The "Artist's conception" of an American Chief canoeing, painted on a Leather Wall Hanging. (This is not the product of any particular Indian Tribe or Alaska Native Village as per the Indian Arts and Craft Act of 1900. A law designed to protect the Native American art market from fraud) . This is a RARE FIND indeed ! Overall quality of painting is good and is most likely the " artist's conception" of an American Chief in headdress with a bow and arrow set in the boat canoeing along the shore of a a clear blue lake in the wilderness with a deer in the background. Cattails, white and yellow water lilies among lily pads in the foreground. Wooded trees in the background. Beautiful and Delightful! Clean and bright colors. Believed to be a advertisement for "Hiawatha Neckties," from Lake Placid, NY. See photo's. Unclear is the Stamp in lower left corner of painting: "ANGO" or "
