Antique salter scale; this large domestic weighing scale dates from the mid to late 1800s & is good to use today as it has been over the last 150 years. Equally good to keep on display in your vintage shop, kitchen counter or shelving unit amongst other decor items. Creamy, chippy finish is full of age-old marks & plenty of rustic charm.
It is in great vintage condition with a solid weighing capacity —
With continued care this should last another 150 years & beyond.
The scale consists of an ornate cast iron surround with the original painted brass / enamel pan & large reading dial [erosion has occurred over time, but still quite legible].
